Felipe Andreoli tells about "Hollow"

The band Angra is about to launch its seventh studio album "Aqua".

Now, Angra's musicians periodically release their impressions about each track from "Aqua".

The third to speak was the bassist Felipe Andreoli, revealing more details regarding the seventh track of the new album Aqua, "Hollow" :

Felipe Andreoli : "This song starts with a riff I created, based on a numerical sequence of six, five, four and three. The combination of different bars creates an illusion of sound, which appears to be a different tempo signature than it actually is.

The song makes uses of this kind of temporal dislocation to create a feeling of tension and chaos.

The lyrics explore the anguish and hatred of Caliban, being dismissed as "king" of the island and turned into a slave by Propsero.

Caliban lives an empty life full of negativity, bitterness and desire for revenge. Then, he finds Trinculo and Stephano, whom he convinced to kill Prospero in exchange of the control of the island and Miranda's hand as a queen. However, Prospero is alerted by Ariel, whom he commands to come back and fight against the project, by using sounds and illusions.

Caliban is reduced once more time to his miserable life, until Prospero decides to leave the island where he can reign once more."
