"Countdown to the lauching of the new Angra's myspace :

Taking advantage to the Angra's come back, which is in intensive pace of rehearsals for their upcoming tour with Sepultura, the band will inaugurate its new myspace, next Friday, May 01.

The page has been completly renovated, adding higher visual quality to the informations about the quintet activities - which will be posted with more dynamism -, all dates, unpublished pics, songs, exclusive promotions and more. According to the bassist Felipe Andreoli : "We are very happy with the development of our new myspace. It will be online next Friday, however, fans can follow the countdown by a counter and a picture at the top of the site. The picture is a landscape in total darkness, and gradually, night become day, until dawn on the night from Thurday to Friday.

Signed by the web designer Antonio Cesar - who signed similar works for artists as Edu Falaschi (Angra, Almah), Amanda Somerville (Kamelot, Aina, Epica, After Forever), Mary Demurtas (Tristania), among others - the site aims to bring all together fans and friends, is an important way to promote the come back of the band. "This proximity to our beloved fans has always been one of our characteristics. We want to stay tuned with all support us ! Angra : first concert of the tour in Fortaleza (Brazil)

Contrary to what everyone thought, the beginning of the Angra and Sepultura's tour doesn't take place in the hometown of the band, Sao Paulo, but in Fortaleza (Brazil), one of the most important capital of the northeastern region.

The event, which will serve as kick start this historic meeting of Brazilian Metal Giants , happens on May 02, in one of the most important place honored by the public from Ceara, the Siara Hall.

Angra and Sepultura

Here is an English translation (sorry for my bad English) of the official note about the meeting between Angra and Sepultura for the Guitar Hero World Tour lauching, published on MS Metal Press :

"The journalist Marco Bezzi, from the Journal of the Afternoon and State of Sao Paulo, set up a special stuff for the bands Angra and Sepultura, which will start together in May a tour in Brazil and Latina America. The event, which took place in Shopping Ibiturapuera in Sao Paulo, on last April 22, was the meeting of the two bands that competed for the celebration of the Guitar Hero Wolrd Tour launching, as they were interviewed. "The drummer Ricardo Confessori, who helped to built the sound of the first Angra line-up to Holy Land from Fireworks, is back into the band which launched him internationally. The musician published a note about these impressions on his come back, and about the tour Angra will do with another heavyweight of the Brazilian metal, Sepultura.

"It's really good to play again with Kiko and Raphael, and meet Edu and Felipe. To much fun to play songs not played for ten years. I'm happy to be back !

Last year, I was invited to come back in Angra, the band that launched me internationally as professional and gave me the experience I still use in all my works. It's not necessary to say that Angra impressed my life - always being a constant day to day - I'm talking about the songs I'm still playing with Shaman, about the Angra's CD I'm asked to sign, finally everything.

About the tour with Sepultura, I can say it will be a milestone for the metal made in brazil. Never the two most important bands of our national scene were together on a project like this. Rafael Bittencourt : interview on Yahoo ! Brasil

Here is an English translation (sorry for my bad English) of an interview given by Rafael Bittencourt on Yahoo ! Brasil :

"Rafael Bittencourt from Angra speaks about the tour with Sepultura.

Until recently it would be impossible to unite the fans of extreme metal with the melodic metal, the new tour putting together Angra and Sepultura do away with the taboo. The two greatest representatives bands of the style in the country, will be on the road in May for a tour that should passing by more than 20 Brazilian cities.

To speak of this new venture, Yahoo ! Brazil interviewed the Angra’s guitarist Rafael Bittencourt, who speaks about the drummer Ricardo Confessori come back, among others.

Yahoo ! Brasil : Angra stopped for two years. The come back of the band is just for this tour or to record a new material ? Ricardo Confessori will participate on ?

Rafael Bittencourt : The idea is to write something new but, after the tour. For the moment Ricardo and Angra are flirting but the idea is to get married.

Yahoo ! Brasil : How was the Ricardo Confessori come back ?

Rafael Bittencourt : I have a solo project, the Bittencourt Project, Thiago (Bianchi, Shaman’s singer) took part in the CD. Then he suggested that I call Ricardo to talk. Our friendship was frozen musically, so we talked and agreed. It was more advantageous to me to call Confessori, who knows the band and helped of the Angra’s musicality, than a new drummer who doesn’t now our way of working. I know Ricardo and he knows me, everyone knows the limits of each other.

Yahoo ! Brasil : What mean the Ricardo Confessori come back in Angra ?

Rafael Bittencourt : In the band, we, me and Kiko (Loureiro, Angra’s guitarist) always appreciated the line-up. Some changes have occured because some people didn’t want to stay in the band. I never wanted to change the line-up and this come back is a redemption of our origins. Ricardo helped to build the sound of the band. He has in hand the heavy rock, the rock of the 70s, but also the Brazilian music and this is the Angra’s sound, a mix of rock music and Brazilian one.

Yahoo ! Brasil : On the Shaman website, Ricardo Confessori said that he will lead the two projects in parallel. Angra and Shaman could play together ?

Rafael Bittencourt : Maybe … If it's possible. We have all side projects and we tend not to mix. Otherwise, everyone would want to bring his solo project to open an Angra’s show, me, Kiko, Edu (Falaschi, Angra’s singer). Everyone wants to promote his solo project and the idea is to free up time in order to not interfere in the Angra’s schedule. Si if he wants to do some shows with Shaman in the time when Angra has nothing planned, he will have no problem.

Yahoo ! Brasil : How goes your solo project ?

Rafael Bittencourt : I'll make those shows besides Angra's shows, provided there are no problems during the tour. I’m promoting the album (Brainsworms – I, 2008), and I’ll continue.

Yahoo ! Brasil : Angra and Sepultura have two different styles. Do you think the union of the two bands for this tour will be surprise the public or heavy metal fans in Brazil are more eclectic ?

Rafael Bittencourt : Metal fans in brazil are not super eclectic and most are extremists. But it’s a try for unite the metal scene and that benefit to the fan. It’s very difficult for a national metal band to make shows, because of the number of international shows that we have. So the idea is to bring something new. It will be like a mini festival, with opening bands starting their career. In each city were the tour will go we will have new bands of that place, but nothing yet confirmed.

Yahoo ! Brasil : Ten years ago this tour would be possible ?

Rafael Bittencourt : I don’t think so, but there were other times. The two bands were at different times of their career. Both, Angra and Sepultura were doing shows outside brazil. Sepultura was there in United States, and Angra was focused on Europe and Japan, now both bands are more focused on Brazilian marked. It was the fate that brought the two bands so far.

Yahoo ! Brasil : What the public can expect from the Angra’s set-list on this tour ?

Rafael Bittencourt : It’s an overview of our career. We will play the most important songs that marked the career of the band .

Yahoo ! Brasil : Angra and Sepultura think to bring their tour out of the country ?

Rafael Bittencourt : The idea is to do. We mainly tour in Latin America, Europe and Japan but we will wait to see what will happen."
