In this new 2 DVD set, Kiko helps students open up their musical universe by showing how to apply fusion techniques to Rock playing. Kiko shows students a method for using arpeggios to craft amazing leads and melodies. He starts with major and minor arpeggios and triad voicings and builds them into progressions. Then expands on this concept with major arpeggio extensions adding the 7th and 9th and shows how to complete the mission by delivering full dominant and diminished arpeggios in single and cross string technique. Kiko explains and demonstrates how these all relate as tools for creating a unique musical style. Students learn modal arpeggios and how to apply them over full band backing tracks so they can start creating their own masterpieces!

"Last Wednesday, February 17th, Angra entered the Norcal Studios in São Paulo, Brazil, to record its seventh studio album, and the first one after the return of drummer Ricardo Confessori. For the first time the band will produce the record, and drum recordings have just started. Videos and reports will be added soon."

Angra released on his official youtube channel, the first issue in a series of videos which presents the whole process of production of his new studio album. "It's very important for us to keep our fans updated on everything ! After all, if we are still alive, giving our blood for this new album, it's to thanks the fans for all their support and love during all these years", said the guitarist rafael Bittencourt.
The first chapter shows the first meetings of the band, recorded at Felipe Andreoli and Kiko Loureiro's homes. "We chose to work this way to feel more comfortable. In a conventional studio the climate is not always favorable for great ideas. In this way, it's clear that we take care of each detail of the new CD which will be the best and more complete of our career" said Edu Falaschi.
During January was conducted the first round of voting to elect the best of 2009 on Whiplash. In February takes place the final vote to elect the best among the most voted from the first round.

"The band Angra from São Paulo, schedules the launching of his official website on 05 th of February. The total recasting of the website of the band was under the responsability of one of the highest performers in the world market, Gustavo Sazes (Manowar, Kamelot, Almah among others), showing the current visual direction adopted by the quintet. In parallel, Angra's members prepare to enter Norcal Studios in São Paulo, on 21th of February , to record their new album still untitled. "The album is almsot done, we still have to finalize some arrangements. We recorded some demos and new songs sound fantastic, it seems to be our most significant conceptual album", said the guitarist Kiko Loureiro.
The new Angra's album, which will have a production signed by the musicians themselves, is expected to be launched in the begining of June this year."

We are very excited to bring you these news! We are almost done writing the songs for the new album, and we couldn't be happier! There is a general feeling that this is gonna be a really great album. Every time I listen to ourselves playing the songs, I can't help smiling. We are totally into every little detail and small part to make this one of the best Angra albums ever.
The rehearsals are taking place at Ricardo's country house, near São Paulo. We don't have TV or internet, and phone signal is very poor, so we can't help but concentrate fully on the composition process, and this is intentional. We have a whole new set of challenges in the new arragements, since every part of them is being taken to the next level, both technically and musically.
We will enter the studio in mid February, and we'll keep you posted on the latest news.
