Rafael Bittencourt : about the Angra's tour

"Guitarist Rafael Bittencourt released an official note about the early Angra's tour with Sepultura, focusing on Sao Paulo, Jau and Ourinhos cities, together with the southern Porto Alegre. See below the considerations of the artist about these events :

Jau 05/05/09 : "It was great being back in Jau, where we have a super loyal public. The concert hall was full again and I was pleased to see public as different music styles sharing the same party. It's essential for fans and bands to unite for heavy metal no longer be treated as something marginal and win more respect in society and media. So why we are in lives of millions Youth Brazillian young people and media turns its back on this because our music isn't cute and makes people think too much. This is not goog for those in power".

Ourinhos 05/23/09 : "We have an exclusive set in Ourinhos and decided that in each city we'll play a different set-list. We played "Lisbon", a song from the album "Fireworks". We had never played it with the post-Rebirth line-up. People from many different cities were here. Some of them traveled over 250 km to see the meeting of these two great monsters of national metal : Angra and Sepultura. They made us feel this tour was important for fans who already see this concert as historic. As usual, we ended with a jam session with the two bands."

Porto Alegre 05/24/09 : "More changes in the set. An exclusive set-list in Porto Alegre. We played for the first time at Casa Do Gaucho which was full. The concert hall is big, beautifull with great sound which help a lot for the success of the show. Public in Porto Alegre is incredibly excited. Singing State's anthem, singing songs and guitars themes in a chorus of "Oh ! Exciting!" until I saw a guy crying in the first row, thrilled to be here, I think. But maybe someone have walked on his feet (laughs). But this concert give me the fire ! At the end we played an unusual jam. Ricardo sang "Back In Black" from AC/DC, Andreas "The Trooper" from Iron Maiden [...] After the traditionnal "Immigrant Song" from Led Zeppelin and "Paranoid". It was an awesome show ! Each played or sang the part he remembered, the most important were to have both bands together."
